I have made the following assumptions to calculate the price comparison table below:
- Sales are spread evenly across twelve months (i.e. no seasonal weighting)
- The average cost of each transaction is £5
- 75% of transactions will be by debit card and 25% by credit card.
The following conditions have been taken into account:
- PayPal and Google Checkout transaction fees are both on a sliding scale. They do not become considerably cheaper until your business has a turnover in excess of £15,000 per month.
- Netbanx have a minimum charge of £20 per month.
- PayPal Pro has a £20 monthly service fee.
